With macro photography being my absolute favourite, combined with the childhood fascination for creepy crawlies that has never left me, my fauna photography tends to be very invertebrate biased! Plants are fascinating but very easily overlooked, and in my opinion don't get the interest and attention that they truly deserve. I try to capture unique shots that represent just how diverse, amazing and beautiful they really are. Click here to view some examples of my plant photography.

Up until a few years ago, photography was my escape from people and modern life! But in a short space of time people-nature photography has become one of my favourite genres. I really enjoy trying to achieve powerful images that illustrate our intricate connections with, and essential requirements for, healthy, wildlife-rich environments. It goes without saying that the wider environment is essential for the survival of individuals that I spend so much time photographing close-up. While out and about with my camera, I love to take a step back and admire the beautiful habitats that I am wandering through (taking a few photographs whilst I am at it!) Water provides me with a great opportunity to get creative with my camera. Whether photographing characters smiling out at me from a beautifully still loch, or capturing a whole world reflected within a single rain droplet after a downpour, I love to experiment and get really artistic shots. Hearts tend to pop out at me as I am walking through various wild places. So I snap them up with my camera as I go, and have built up quite a collection! With the heart being a symbol that we can all relate to, my hope is that these images help establish emotional links with the natural world, and assist in communicating the importance of connecting with nature for our wellbeing.
